I am Orsi Gangl, a freelance – most of the time online – Norwegian teacher, supervisor and life coach from Budapest.
Why Norwegian?
Because I got mesmerized already as a teenager by the mysticism of the Norwegian landscape and history (thanks to a book series called The legend of the Ice people ;). During my Scandinavian studies and my first visits to Norway the fascination with the Norwegian language and culture became even deeper thanks to a modern, down to earth and welcoming society.
I’ve experienced Norway from many different perspectives: as a folk high school student, an au pair, a university student – and, during the years I spent there, I even had a taste of working life. Countless situations, encounters, friendships and stories tie me to the country, which I’ve long considered my second home – even if the climate is not my favourite…
Why teaching?
I believe that learning Norwegian is not just about the langauge itself. While we gradually discover a new country and culture, we also gain a greater insight to ourselves. I consider learning as a journey full of self-recognition, challenges and moments of growth. Being your guide in this colorful process allows me to grow along with you.
